Documented formulation and performance
PDS revised 04/09/2025
U1P-Gear SAE 140 Gear Oil, API GL-5 is formulated with paraffinic base oil and specialty performance additives. API Category GL-5 designates the types of service characteristic of gears, particularly hypoids in automotive axles under high-speed and/or low-speed, high-torque conditions. Specialty anti-scuffing additives and friction modifiers provide advanced protection and lubricity in extreme pressure conditions. Additionally, U1P-Gear SAE 140 API GL-5 Gear Oils is highly shear stable while also resisting rust, oxidation, foaming, and varnish.
Documented benefits
- Superior oxidation and thermal stability and durability
- Offers long equipment life by protecting gears from rust
- Good anti-foam protection
- High performance in corrosion prevention
- Reduced oil temps in rear differentials
